FROM 4H TO PHOTOGRAPHER:
My Journey to Capturing Your Love Story.
I think I have known I would end up in the photography world since I was 10 years old. My Grandma Pat kept her camera on her at all times and we would stop the car at any ditch of pretty flowers to snap a photo. Being in the agriculture world, I joined 4-H very young and photography was the first project other than cattle that I knew I was signing up for.
In 2014 I was in my 2nd year of college getting my degree in ag production and beef management (aka cow school), my plan was to start raising and contracting rodeo stock. That dream didn’t launch as I planned, obviously. I needed another class on my schedule and film photography stuck out to me. Once I graduated in 2015 I immediately started a little side hustle alongside working full time jobs. My weddings took off in 2018 and grew to the majority of what I was shooting and LOVED to shoot. In December of 2020 I finally figured out I was in fact not super woman, and needed to quit my full time job to pursue my new business dream, and here we are.
I am addicted to traveling, I will forever be a window seat girly and make my husband sit in the middle. I love going back to our favorite spots but am always ready to find a new place I'll fall in love with. Our home away from home is West Texas and we are always looking for an excuse to go.
We just finished building our forever home by Dyersville, Iowa. We have the sassiest a*shole of a husky, Nash, that we are completely obsessed with, and he absolutely runs the show here. Our summers are filled with lake days and golfing. Our winters are filled with skiing and seasonal depression. When I say we, I mean all 3 of us because even Nash hates winter. We spend all year at live concerts, usually in the pit double fisting drinks. Texas country music is our favorite. We love fitting in rodeos into our chaotic schedule too.
My identity is western fashion, native jewelry, Don Julio and Jack Daniels. I have the worst potty mouth you could imagine and I guarantee I will say f*ck at least 7 times during our time together (sorry in advance). I’m fueled by 500mg of caffeine daily and can easily take a 3 hour nap at any given time.
